Data Electronics offers companies a secure location to physically house their hardware and equipment as opposed to locating it in their offices or warehouse where it would be exposed to fire, theft and power and communication outages.
Data Electronics provides a superior co-location service from our state of the art Tier IV Data Centre at Kilcarbery Park, Dublin, Ireland, with an upcoming 100,000 sq ft data centre in Northwest Business Park, Dublin later in 2008.
We guarantees core utility services to our clients and commits to 100% availability for power, cooling and Internet bandwidth. We stand by these guarantees and offer SLAs to our clients free of charge. These service level agreements include 24 x 7 support and remote hands services which enables our engineers to assist with operations such as reboots and provide phone support including basic command instructions.
Access to your infrastructure is available 24x7 with no notification and no charge. All we ask is that you follow the security procedures which are in place to protect you and your business.
Data Electronics co-location package Includes the provision of the following:
- Resiliency and Redundancy Tier IV facility to ensure maximum resiliency and redundancy.
- Cages and Cabinets: Cages are customised to come in two standard heights - 2.4 metres and 2.7 metres. Access control is customised to client’s specification, with private suite or cabinet access restricted to the client.
- Connectivity: Easy access through our Meet-Me-Rooms (MMR) to all available carriers in Ireland. As a carrier-neutral facility, we offer a choice of local or long-haul fibre providers.
- Power: 100% availability guarantee, including multiple redundancy mechanism. Each cabinet has two power strips, each of which has a power reading gauge. The power strips have IEC sockets and each cage can have as many as 46 sockets. Cabinets include 3kw, 6kw and 9kw options. Servers fed by dual power feeds. Redundant UPS are backed up by two diesel generators, which can run for 54 hours without refuelling and indefinitely if refuelled regularly.
- Environmental Controls: Redundant fan systems are in place to maintain optimum temperature. Temperature maintained at 21 degrees, plus or minus 2 degrees. Humidity is maintained at 50 percent, plus or minus 10 percent.
- Security: External perimeter fence and patrolling security guards are in operation 24x7. Double-door “mantrap” mechanism, biometrical system and an internal security guard control building access 24x7. Internal security mechanisms are in place to control access by zones, according to individual security clearance levels. Motion sensors and 100 digital full-colour surveillance video cameras monitor the facility with all data being stored on our SAN.
- Failed entries are biometrically recorded, filmed and date-stamped. Doors have an alarmed timeout mechanism, which is activated if a door is held open. Infra-red burglar alarms are positioned around the building and -- when activated -- transmit an alert to the emergency services.
- Fire Suppression: Optical and ionisation sensors fitted to the ceiling and to the floor. Very Early Smoke Detection Appliance (VESDA) detects smoke levels over 1ppm, broken down by zone. Fire extinguishers use low-pressure inert gases, which do not harm people or equipment. Extinguishers are built into the ceilings and floors and have sufficient capacity to fill the room twice.
- Remote Hands and Eyes: 24x7 on-site support enables our engineers to execute client commands and provide general support.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan: Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan is launched as soon as a crisis situation arises to bring all systems back online according to the Time to Recover (TTR) parameters.
