There is no doubt that the success of Data Electronics to date will continue in 2008 and beyond. With the upcoming launch of an additional Data Centre in Northwest Business Park, Ballycoolin, Dublin, Data Electronics will reinforce their position as Leaders in the Industry with the largest foothold of Tier Four Data Centre space in Ireland.
The all-new Northwest Data Centre will have an impressive capacity of over 100,000 sq. ft. Whilst most of this will be available for data storage space, we have also responded to the increasing need for office space, and are planning to dedicate 10,000sq to help companies with office space requirements set up their own office in a convenient area with high connectivity facilities. Northwest Business Park will be our second Tier IV facility.
Power
100% availability guarantee, including multiple redundancy mechanism. Redundant UPS backed up by two diesel generators, which can run for 54 hours without refuelling and indefinetely if refuelled regularly.
Environmental Controls
Redundant fan system to maintain optimum temperature at 21 degrees, plus or minus 2 degrees. Humidity maintained at 50 percent, plus or minus 10 percent.
Security
External perimeter fence and patrolling security guards are in operation 24x7. Double-door “mantrap” mechanism, biometrical system and an internal security guard control building access 24x7. Internal security mechanisms are in place to control access by zones, according to individual security clearance levels. Motion sensors and 100 digital full-colour surveillance video cameras monitor the facility with all data being stored on our SAN.
Fire Supression
Optical and ionisation sensors fitted to the ceiling and to the floor. Very Early Smoke Detection Appliance (VESDA) detects smoke levels over 1ppm, broken down by zone. Fire extinguishers use low-pressure inert gases, which do not harm people or equipment. Extinguishers are built into the ceilings and floors and have sufficient capacity to fill the room twice.
Telecoms
Excellent Telecoms availability: Northwest Business Park is diversely connected to the T50, the ESB Telecom network, and individual carriers who are already in situ are BT, Eircom, Colt, C&W, Global Voice.
